Account Coordinator Position

Job Description

The account coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day execution of client program initiatives. The AC combines solid social media skills with beginning supervisory activities internally and with clients/programs. The AC strongly demonstrates the ability to think strategically and execute digital marketing programs.

Requirements for Consideration

  • Two or more years in a related field. 
  • Ability to execute well on daily tactical program management.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Has a track record of being reliable. 
  • Acknowledges all emails in a timely fashion. 
  • Solid knowledge of social media platforms. 
  • Ability to provide strategic counsel to the client with supervision from more senior staff.
  • Strong organizational skills with a track record of meeting deadlines and expectations.
  • Experience with social media, content creation and campaign planning. 
  • Experience with paid media (social and Google). 
  • Accommodates occasional travel, other agency duties outside a 9 – 5 schedule.  

Familiarity with Sprout Social, MailChimp, Constant Contact, Monday.com or similar programs is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. ACCOUNT TEAM RELATIONS
  • Provides regular updates to the team lead.
  • Creates clean client reports and provides POV on report. 
  • Is prepared for team and client meetings.
  • Problem solves rather than just problem identifies – thinks of options before approaching a team leader for help.
  • Follows Gather Media SOPs. 
  1. DIGITAL MEDIA AND COMMUNICATIONS 
  • Excels in client engagement: 
    • Works with the client to effectively understand the brand i.e., voice, positioning, offerings, competitors and more. 
    • Prepares for and maximizes opportunities with clients. 
    • Communicates in a timely manner. 
    • Prepares client emails, agendas, notes and client recaps. 
    • Organizes client files. 
  • Community Management: 
    • Creates social media responses/copy for team review. 
    • Responds to audiences on social media, Google and other social media/ review platforms.
    • Keeps an eye on customer/audience trends and feedback. 
  • Executes public relations and influencer relations campaigns: 
    • Creates media/influencers lists, pitches, follow ups and more. 
    • Ensures contracts are being met. 
    • Reports on placements. 
    • Brainstorms and pitches campaign ideas, “trend spotting.” 
  • Executes paid media planning: 
    • Learns and becomes certified in different paid media platforms. 
    • Tracks media spends and coordinates budgets. 
    • Creates social media ads (copy/creative).  
    • Uses paid media skills to ensure content is amplified across channels. 
  •  Content Creation 
    • Creates content (Graphic & Carousel Creation in Canva)
    • Edits short-form video; Reels and TikTok videos. 
    • Writes post captions in unique brand voices. 
    • Creates content calendars, content pillars (by month / by day). 
  1. CLIENT SERVICES
  • Owns projects and runs accounts while acting as a point of contact for the client.
  • Delivers timely updates to the client and internal teams before being asked for them.
  • Contributes to internal team discussions about client problems and planning.
  • Anticipate problems on an account before they become big issues; takes the lead of arranging to problem-solve with the team.
  • Plans, coordinates and executes multiple assignments efficiently; consistently goes to the team leader when the workload needs prioritizing.
  • Completes tasks while managing emerging client requests. 
  • Researches and orders client gifts. 
  • Completes emerging client tasks with a “can-do” attitude such as event planning, branded merch ordering, PR box planning and more.

Performance Standards

  • See annual performance agreement that will be created within the first 90 days of onboarding.
